How can seabuckthorn boost skin elasticity and help with ageing skin?

A recent study (published in 2017) found that Sea Buckthorn Oil works inside the skin to convent gamma-linolenic acid to prostaglandins (which are lipids that appear at sites of damage or infection to help heal) and this is what ultimately gives it the ability to boost the appearance and texture of the skin.

In addition, Sea Buckthorn has a very high composition of Vitamin C, which we now know encourages collagen synthesis on this skin. This is what boosts skin elasticity/plumpness.

So much so, that one very new study of 60 participants aged 50-70 who topically applied Sea Buckthorn Oil showed that it actually increased cutaneous thickness, suggesting positive structural changes and improvement in collagen synthesis in the skin.
